I’m the owner and only artist at Cypress Tattoo, based in Hillsboro, Oregon. I’ve been professionally tattooing since 2002, had the privilege of being one of Donald Deaton’s students who was the founder of Portland Oregons first tattoo shop, Sea tramp tattoo back in the 1970’s. My work draws heavily on inspiration from classical era sculpture, norse mythology, greek and roman mythos, catholic religion, hindu, buddhist and old world fantasy themes.
My approach is simple: I listen first during a virtual consultation or if you need we can meet at the shop on Thursdays or Fridays, I design with intention, vision so I can provide quality tattoos. Every piece-smaller or very large scale-is treated with the same attention to detail, composition, and flow. I value creating a comfortable space where clients feel respected, understood, and confident throughout the entire process.
Outside of tattooing, I spend time drawing, studying new techniques, and expanding my artistic style. I’m also an inspiring young adult fantasy writer and love to work on my book on my free time. I’m grateful for every client who trusts me with their ideas and their skin, and I’m always excited to bring new concepts to life at Cypress Tattoo.
